Abstract
Variable-scale, modular, easily manufacturable, energy efficient, reliable, and computer-operated farming superstructure systems (FSS) may be used to produce Cannabis for human consumption with minimal water and environmental impact. A FSS system may comprise modules including liquid distribution and plant growing. A FSS may be configured to be constructed out of a plurality of containerized modules.
Claims19
A method to grow a plurality of Cannabis plants, the method comprises:
- growing said plurality of Cannabis plants within an interior of an enclosure;
- and
- maintaining said interior of said enclosure at a pre-determined humidity according to a method comprising:
- compressing a vapor-phase refrigerant in a compressor to produce a compressed vapor-phase refrigerant;
- said compressed vapor-phase refrigerant is supplied from said compressor to a condenser;
- condensing said compressed vapor-phase refrigerant in said condenser to produce a condensed liquid-phase refrigerant;
- said condensed liquid-phase refrigerant is supplied from said condenser to an evaporator;
- evaporating said condensed liquid-phase refrigerant in said evaporator to produce said vapor-phase refrigerant by condensing water vapor from said interior of said enclosure to maintain said interior of said enclosure at said pre-determined humidity;
- said vapor-phase refrigerant is supplied from said evaporator to said compressor;
- mixing said condensate with an additional source of water to produce a water mixture;
- wherein said additional source of water includes treated water, said treated water comprises water treated by a water treatment system, said water treatment system includes one or more water treatment systems selected from the group consisting of a filter, an ultraviolet unit, an ozone unit, a microwave unit, activated carbon, a cation, an anion, an adsorbent, and a membrane;
- and
- supplying said water mixture to said plurality of Cannabis plants.
