Abstract
The claimed invention provides an eco-friendly alternative to traditional gas boilers, specifically the claimed invention provides a boiler that uses microwaves as a means to heat water within a boiler system. Preferably the water enters the boiler via one or more spray nozzles to produce a plurality of droplets or mist, which is then heated when they are exposed to the generated microwaves within the boiler.
Claims15
A boiler comprising:
- two primary water tanks, wherein a portion of each water tank comprises a spray chamber and one or more spray nozzles configured to spray liquid water into the spray chamber of the respective liquid water tank, and
- one or more microwave generators coupled to the spray chamber and configured to emit microwaves towards the water emerging from the spray nozzles, and
- wherein one primary water tank is configured to supply liquid hot water being water heated for use external to pipework in which it is supplied, and wherein the other primary water tank is configured for recirculating hot water supplying a hydronic central heating system.
