Core training device and method

An exercise device for exercising core muscles or a user's torse, the exercise device comprising:

• a frame, configured to be supported by the user;
• an elongate resistance member;
• and
• a radially outwardly facing channel, the channel having a depth of at least four times the diameter of the elongate resistance member;
• wherein the channel is configured to receive the elongate resistance member, the channel comprising at least one or a concave outwardly facing channel and an outwardly facing flat sided and V-shaped channel;
• wherein the channel is configured in use to cause the elongate resistance member that is in use in the channel to be urged towards the centre of the channel by the shape of the channel;
• wherein the frame defines an aperture configured to receive a torso of the user,
• wherein the frame further comprises a first frame section and a plurality of second frame sections extending radially outwardly from the first frame section, wherein each of the second frame sections comprises part of the channel, and wherein the device is configured to provide a resistance force against which the user can exercise when in use;
• and
• wherein the channel extends between the handles such that, in use, at least a portion of the channel is positioned in front of the user.
