Abstract
Embodiments generally relate to a tailoring platform. In some embodiments, a method includes scanning a body of a user using a camera device, where the scanning captures images of the body from a predetermined pattern of perspectives. The method further includes computing one or more depth maps of the body based on the movement of the camera device. The method further includes constructing a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud that models the body based at least in part on the one or more depth maps. The method further includes identifying candidate garments for the user based on the 3D point cloud and one or more garment selection policies.

A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- logic encoded in one or more non-transitory computer-readable storage media for execution by the one or more processors and when executed operable to cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- scanning a body of a user using a camera device, wherein the scanning captures images of the body from a predetermined pattern of perspectives;
- computing one or more depth maps of the body based on the movement of the camera device;
- constructing a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud that models the body based at least in part on the one or more depth maps;
- modifying the 3D point cloud to obscure identifying information of the user;
- and
- identifying candidate garments for the user based on the 3D point cloud and one or more garment selection policies.
A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium with program instructions stored thereon, the program instructions when executed by one or more processors are operable to cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- scanning a body of a user using a camera device, wherein the scanning captures images of the body from a predetermined pattern of perspectives;
- computing one or more depth maps of the body based on the movement of the camera device;
- constructing a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud that models the body based at least in part on the one or more depth maps;
- modifying the 3D point cloud to obscure identifying information of the user;
- and
- identifying candidate garments for the user based on the 3D point cloud and one or more garment selection policies.
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- scanning a body of a user using a camera device, wherein the scanning captures images of the body from a predetermined pattern of perspectives;
- computing one or more depth maps of the body based on movement of the camera device;
- constructing a three-dimensional (3D) point cloud that models the body based at least in part on the one or more depth maps;
- modifying the 3D point cloud to obscure identifying information of the user;
- and
- identifying candidate garments for the user based on the 3D point cloud and one or more garment selection policies.
