Label, peeling, universal printheads and related methods

A method comprising:

• positioning a peeler assembly of a printer in one of a peeling position, in which media is peeled from a backing, and a non-peeling position, in which the backing and the media remain affixed to each other;
• detecting a current position of the peeler assembly;
• and
• adjusting at least one print setting in response to detecting the current position of the peeler assembly,
• wherein detecting the current position is performed by a sensor and adjusting the at least one print setting is performed by a processor, and
• wherein the at least one print setting comprises at least one of print speed, printhead temperature, or printhead position.

A method comprising:

• positioning a peeler assembly of a printer in one of a peeling position, in which media is peeled from a backing, and a non-peeling position, in which the backing and the media remain affixed to each other;
• detecting a current position of the peeler assembly;
• adjusting at least one print setting in response to detecting the current position of the peeler assembly;
• and
• providing an output to a user corresponding to the current position of the peeler assembly.
