- wherein the chemoresistant cancer comprises a chemoresistant breast cancer cell;
- and
- wherein step (ii) treats the chemoresistant cancer in the subject.
A method of killing a chemoresistant breast cancer cell, the method comprising (i) contacting the chemoresistant breast cancer cell with an effective amount of chaetocin and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and, (ii) after a period of at least 5 hours, contacting the cell with an anti-cancer agent or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- wherein step (ii) kills the chemoresistant breast cancer cell.
A method of treating a chemoresistant breast cancer in a subject, the method comprising (i) administering to the subject in need thereof a therapeutically effective amount of a chaetocin and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, and, (ii) after a period of at least 2 days, administering to the subject a therapeutically effective amount of an anti-cancer agent or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof;
- wherein step (ii) treats the chemoresistant breast cancer in the subject.
