Systems/methods of 5G optimization

A communications method comprising:

• establishing at a first device a plurality of transmit/receive modes responsive to instructions received at the first device from a second device;
• communicating with the second device using at least one transmit/receive mode of the plurality of transmit/receive modes;
• at any given time, while communicating with the second device, using only one transmit/receive mode of the plurality of transmit/receive modes;
• and
• selecting and using a transmit/receive mode of the plurality of transmit/receive modes responsive to a parameter associated with data that is to be transmitted/received, wherein said parameter comprises a size of data, a velocity, a quality-of-service, an interference level, a bit-error-rate, a data rate, a time-of-day, a value of data, a security/privacy concern, a location of the second device and/or a distance between the first device and the second device,
• wherein responsive to said parameter associated with data that is to be transmitted/received, the method includes:
• varying a bandwidth;
• varying a power level;
• varying a physical layer of an air interface;
• varying a plurality of subcarriers;
• varying frequencies;
• and
• varying a Fourier transform, an inverse Fourier transform and/or an antenna configuration.
