Load control system having audio output devices

An electrical load control method, comprising:

• communicating, by system bridge control circuitry, a primary audio output signal to each of a plurality of communicatively coupled controllable audio output devices;
• receiving, by system bridge control circuitry via communications interface circuitry, a first signal from a communicatively coupled input device, wherein the first signal includes information indicative of an occurrence of a defined event;
• generating, by the system bridge control circuitry, a secondary audio output signal responsive to receipt of the first signal;
• and
• causing, by the system bridge control circuitry, the controllable audio output device to output the secondary audio output signal instead of the primary audio output signal at one or more of the plurality of communicatively coupled controllable audio output devices.

A non-transitory, machine-readable, storage device that includes instructions that, when executed by system bridge control circuitry disposed in an electrical load controller, cause the system bridge control circuitry to:

• communicate a primary audio output signal to each of a plurality of communicatively coupled controllable audio output devices;
• receive, via communications interface circuitry, a first signal from a communicatively coupled input device, wherein the first signal includes information indicative of an occurrence of a defined event;
• generate a secondary audio output signal responsive to receipt of the first signal;
• and
• cause the controllable audio output device to output the secondary audio output signal interrupts instead of the primary audio output signal at one or more of the plurality of communicatively coupled controllable audio output devices.
