Abstract
The present invention relates to an adenoviral vector capable of encoding a virus-like particle (VLP), said VLP displaying an inactive immune-suppressive domain (ISD). The vaccine of the invention shows an improved immune response from either of both of the response pathways initiated by CD4 T cells or CD8 T cells.
Claims15
A nucleic acid molecule encoding human endogenous retrovirus K (HERV-K) envelope protein or an immunogenic part thereof, wherein the immune-suppressive domain (ISD) of said protein contains at least one mutation that renders the ISD inactive, and wherein the at least one mutation in the inactivated ISD replaces Q525 with an alanine, wherein the numbering of said mutation is based on a HERV-K isolate comprising the sequence of any one of SEQ ID NO.:
- 9, 10, 11, 13, 17 and 21.
