Abstract
A method for producing a fibre composite cylindrical tank for containing a fluid, includes assembling a reusable and removable tool kit; applying an end fitting to the tool kit, the end fitting having an opening large enough for removing the tool kit there through after being disassembled; forming a barrier layer by swaddling the assembled tool kit with a breather piece; forming a first shell layer by winding a first composite tape, made of a first composite material mixing fibre and resin, over the barrier layer, and disassembling and removing the tool kit through the opening.
Claims10
A method for producing a fibre composite cylindrical tank for containing a fluid, comprising:
- assembling a reusable and removable tool kit;
- applying an end fitting to the tool kit, said end fitting having an opening large
- enough for removing the tool kit there through after being disassembled;
- forming a barrier layer by swaddling the assembled tool kit with a breather piece, the swaddling being a wrapping without winding, and the breather piece being a non-woven material made of fibres;
- forming a first shell layer by winding a first composite tape, made of a first composite material mixing fibre and resin, over the barrier layer, and
- disassembling and removing the tool kit through the opening.
