Abstract
A decorative, wearable system includes at least one decorative element mechanically and moveably suspended in a liquid by mechanical fixation elements and actuated by invisible mechanism(s). The liquid shares a substantially similar refraction index as at least one of mechanical fixation elements and/or actuation mechanisms.
Claims15
A portable/wearable device in which at least one decorative element is disposed in a contained liquid, the element mechanically and moveably attached to a displacement mechanism, wherein the displacement mechanism comprises an articulated chain of rigid elements actuated by a transmission, wherein at least one of the rigid elements is made of a material which has a substantially identical refraction index as at least a portion of the displacement mechanism so that at least a portion of the displacement mechanism is substantially invisible to an observer, the device further including a thermal compensation system. the system comprising a mechanism accommodating thermal expansion and/or contraction of the liquid, avoiding the generation of unacceptably high pressure which could result in liquid leaking out of the device in case of temperature rise or the generation of unattractive gas bubbles in the liquid in case of low temperature.
