Abstract
Provided herein are a method and a system for producing slabs, tiles or sheets of artificial stone, with a wide vein effect, comprising inorganic particles of different sizes and hardened binders, and which simulate the appearance of natural stone.
Claims17
A system for manufacturing slabs, tiles or sheets of artificial stone with a vein effect, the system comprising a distributor device arranged on a robotic device,
- wherein the robotic device is configured to move the distributor device along at least a portion of an irregularly shaped cavity in a layer of a first mixture;
- wherein the distributor device comprises:
- i. a hopper for storing a second mixture, the hopper having a top opening and a bottom opening, and
- ii. a conveyor belt for transporting the second mixture, the conveyor belt being located underneath the bottom opening of the hopper;
- wherein a computer system is configured to control the speed of the conveyor belt, the speed of the robotic device, and the position of the robotic device.
