Repositionable console

A fire apparatus comprising:

• a chassis;
• a plurality of axles coupled to the chassis;
• an aerial assembly, comprising:
• a turntable rotatably coupled to the chassis;
• an aerial ladder assembly rotatably coupled to the turntable and having a distal end opposite the turntable;
• a platform coupled to the turntable and configured to support an operator, in a command position, the platform including an outer perimeter;
• and
• a control console, comprising:
• a base section coupled to the turntable and spaced from the outer perimeter of the platform;
• and
• an interface section movably coupled to the base section and selectively repositionable between a stowed position and an operating position, wherein the interface section is configured to receive commands to control rotation of the aerial ladder assembly and the turntable,
• wherein the interface section is configured to be accessible by the operator from the command position when the interface section is in the operating position,
• wherein the fire apparatus has an overall height defining a top plane, the interface section of the control console further configured to be below the top plane when in the stowed position.

An aerial assembly for a fire apparatus, comprising:

• a turntable configured to be rotatably coupled to a chassis of the fire apparatus;
• a platform coupled to the turntable and configured to support an operator in a command position, the platform including a top surface and an outer perimeter;
• an aerial ladder assembly pivotably coupled to the turntable;
• and
• a control console comprising:
• a base section coupled to the turntable and spaced from the outer perimeter of the platform;
• and
• a movable section movably coupled to the base section, the movable section including an operator interface configured to receive commands from the operator, wherein the movable section is selectively repositionable relative to the base section between a stowed position and an operating position,
• wherein the operator interface is configured to be accessible by the operator from the command position when the movable section is in the operating position,
• wherein the aerial assembly includes a top plane, wherein the movable section of the control console is further configured to be below the top plane when in the stowed position.
