Abstract
A system includes a sensor applicator, a sensor control device arranged within the sensor applicator and including an electronics housing and a sensor extending from a bottom of the electronics housing, and a cap coupled to one of the sensor applicator and the sensor control device, wherein the cap is removable prior to deploying the sensor control device from the sensor applicator.
Claims17
An analyte measurement device, comprising:
- an electronics housing including:
- a shell and a mount secured to the shell during factory assembly to define a sealed interior of the electronics housing;
- one or more flanges on an interior surface of the mount, the one or more flanges extending into the sealed interior of the electronics housing;
- an analyte sensor including a distal portion extending from the electronics housing and configured to measure an analyte level and a proximal portion within the sealed interior of the electronics housing and including a plurality of sensor contacts;
- a circuit board disposed within the sealed interior of the electronics housing;
- and
- a connector assembly within the sealed interior of the electronics housing comprising:
- a plurality of members configured to provide conductive communication between the plurality of sensor contacts of the analyte sensor and the circuit board;
- and
- a connector having a first side opposite a second side, the first side comprising:
- a plurality of pockets configured to receive the plurality of members;
- a channel configured to receive a portion of the proximal portion of the analyte sensor including the plurality of sensor contacts;
- and
- one or more depressions, each configured to receive the one or more corresponding flanges.
