Abstract
An ablutionary fitting includes an outlet for providing a stream of water and a dispersing barrier arranged in the stream, such that the liquid passing through the dispersing barrier is broken up into a plurality of smaller streams, forming a spray, wherein the smaller streams are at least in part directed by the dispersing barrier.
Claims20
An ablutionary fitting comprising:
- an outlet for providing a stream of water;
- a dispersing barrier arranged in the stream, such that liquid passing through the dispersing barrier is broken up into a plurality of smaller streams, forming a spray, wherein the smaller streams are at least in part directed by the dispersing barrier, and wherein the stream of water exits the outlet directly through the dispersing barrier;
- and
- a first spacer mechanism configured to alter a distance between the dispersing barrier and the outlet;
- wherein the outlet and the dispersing barrier are driven to rotate about an axis substantially perpendicular to a plane of the dispersing barrier in at least one of a clockwise and a counterclockwise direction;
- and
- wherein rotation of the dispersing barrier is independent of rotation of the outlet.

- and
- wherein the dispersing barrier comprises a mesh, and wherein the mesh is formed of a first set of substantially parallel wires running in a first direction, and a second set of substantially parallel wires running in a second direction, substantially perpendicular to the first direction.
