Abstract
A urinary catheter including a hydrophilic coatings on the outer surface of the catheter tube wherein the hydrophilic coatings comprises a hydrophilic polymer and a diacrylate compound have a number average molecular weight between about 200 and about 600.
Claims19
A urinary catheter, comprising:
- a catheter tube having an outer surface, the catheter tube having a proximal end portion and a distal end portion;
- a hydrophilic coating disposed on the outer surface of the catheter tube, the hydrophilic coating comprising polyvinylpyrrolidone and polyethylene glycol diacrylate having a number average molecular weight between about 200 and about 600;
- and
- wherein hydrophilic coating comprises 94 wt % to 98 wt % polyvinylpyrrolidone and about 2 wt % to about 6 wt % polyethylene glycol diacrylate.
