Abstract
A method of preparing a glazing, comprising: stacking a first glass sheet, a first interlayer, a photopolymer film, a second interlayer, and a second glass sheet to provide a lamination stack; deairing the lamination stack; autoclaving the lamination stack to provide a laminated glazing; applying a reactive light to the photopolymer film in the laminated glazing, wherein reactive light is applied to the laminated glazing through a master holographic film; and bleaching the laminated glazing such that the photopolymer film is no longer reactive to light exposure.
Claims18
A method of preparing a glazing, comprising the steps of:
- stacking a first glass sheet, a first interlayer, a photopolymer film, a second interlayer, and a second glass sheet to provide a lamination stack;
- deairing the lamination stack;
- autoclaving the lamination stack to provide a laminated glazing;
- applying a reactive light to the photopolymer film in the laminated glazing after deairing and autoclaving, wherein reactive light is applied to the laminated glazing through a master holographic film;
- and
- bleaching the laminated glazing such that the photopolymer film is no longer reactive to light exposure,
- wherein a master holographic film construction comprises a support having a molded surface to which the master holographic film is laminated, an outer surface which is flat, and a plurality of openings extending from the outer surface to the molded surface, wherein the molded surface has at least one portion comprising a finite curvature,
- wherein the master holographic film has an area smaller than the at least one portion comprising the finite curvature,
- and wherein the plurality of openings is provided outside of the area of the master holographic film laminated to the molded surface.
