A vector for expressing a rabies virus glycoprotein in a plant, comprising a polynucleotide encoding a BiP (chaperone binding protein), a polynucleotide set forth in SEO ID NO:1 encoding a rabies virus glycoprotein, and a polynucleotide encoding a His-Asp-Glu-Leu (HDEL) peptide.
