A device, comprising:

• processing circuitry configured to:
• obtain a device identifier of the device;
• and
• transmit a wireless communication frame comprising:
• the device identifier, and
• one or more time-offset bits, wherein the one or more time-offset bits separate, by
• a predetermined amount previously agreed upon during a pairing process with another device, the device identifier from an other item in the wireless communication frame.

A non-transitory computer-readable medium storing instructions which, when executed by one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to:

• obtain a device identifier of a device;
• and
• transmit a wireless communication frame comprising:
• the device identifier, and
• one or more time-offset bits, wherein the one or more time-offset bits separate, by
• a predetermined amount previously agreed upon during a pairing process with another device, the device identifier from an other item in the wireless communication frame.
