Abstract
A floor box for housing electrical components includes a bottom and a plurality of walls extending from the bottom to at least partially define an interior and to at least partially define a central opening accessible to a user. A top plate having an inner portion at least partially defining a first wiring compartment facing the central opening and a second wiring compartment facing the central opening is connected to at least one of the plurality of walls.
Claims20
A floor box for housing electrical components comprising:
- a bottom wall;
- a plurality of walls extending from the bottom wall to at least partially define an interior and to at least partially define a central opening accessible to a user;
- a top plate connected to at least one of the plurality of walls;
- a first wiring compartment facing the central opening;
- a second wiring compartment facing the central opening opposite the first wiring compartment;
- and
- a divider positioned through the central opening between the first wiring compartment and the second wiring compartment to separate the central opening into a first portion and a second portion, wherein the divider includes a first region and a second region separated from the first region by a frangible connection.
A floor box for housing electrical components comprising:
- a bottom wall;
- a plurality of walls extending from the bottom wall to at least partially define an interior and to at least partially define a central opening accessible to a user;
- a top plate connected to at least one of the plurality of walls;
- a first wiring compartment facing the central opening;
- a second wiring compartment facing the central opening opposite the first wiring compartment;
- and
- a divider positioned in the central opening, wherein the divider includes a first section and a second section extending at an oblique angle to the first section.
A floor box for housing electrical components comprising:
- a bottom wall;
- a plurality of walls extending from the bottom wall to at least partially define an interior and to at least partially define a central opening accessible to a user;
- a top plate connected to at least one of the plurality of walls;
- a first wiring compartment facing the central opening;
- a second wiring compartment facing the central opening opposite the first wiring compartment;
- a conductor conduit extending across the central opening between the first compartment and the second compartment;
- and
- a divider positioned between the first wiring compartment and the second wiring compartment, the conductor conduit extending through the divider.
