Abstract
A process may prepare catalysts advantageously usable in the hydrotreatment processes, for example in hydrodesulfurization, hydrodenitrogenation, hydrodearomatization processes of hydrocarbons. Such catalysts may include mixed oxides of nickel, aluminum, molybdenum, and tungsten and optionally a transition metal Me selected from Zn, Mn, Cd, and a mixture thereof, an organic component C, and possibly an inorganic binder B. The mixed oxides may include an amorphous phase and a pseudo-crystalline phase isostructural to wolframite.

A metal sulfide catalyst, obtained by sulfiding a mixed oxide of formula (I) or of the mixed oxide of formula (I) bound to at least one inorganic binder B:
- MeaNibMocWdAleOf·pC (I),
- wherein
- Me is Zn, Cd, Mn, or a mixture thereof,
- C comprises a polymer organic compound,
- a is 0 or higher,
- b, c, d, e and f are higher than 0,
- f is (2a+2b+6c+6d+3e)/2,
- (a+b)/(c+d) is in a range of from 0.9 to 1.1,
- a/b is in a range of from 0 to 1.5,
- c/d is in a range of from 0.2 to 5,
- (a+b+c+d)/e is in a range of from 0.6 to 5, and
- p is a weight percentage of the polymer organic compound C and optionally a residue of the polymer organic compound C, with respect to a total weight of the mixed oxide of formula (I), p being in a range of from 0.2 to 40%,
- wherein the mixed oxide of formula (I) comprises an amorphous phase and a pseudo-crystalline phase isostructural to wolframite.
A process for obtaining a mixed oxide or, optionally, a metal sulfide via the mixed oxide, the process comprising:
- (1) mixing at least one soluble source of W and at least one soluble source of Mo into a volume of water, until a clear aqueous solution is obtained;
- (2) optionally, adding at least one source of at least one element Me to the clear aqueous solution obtained in the mixing (1), to obtain a first mixture;
- (3) adding at least one source of Ni to the first mixture obtained in the adding (2) or the clear aqueous solution obtained in the mixing (1), to obtain a second mixture;
- (4) heat treating the second mixture obtained in the adding (3), at a temperature in a range of from 50 to 80° C., under stirring, to obtain a third mixture;
- (5) adding to the third mixture obtained in the heat treating (4), at least one source of Al that is soluble, hydrolyzable, or dispersible, and at least one polymer organic compound, to obtain a fourth mixture;
- (6) heat treating the fourth mixture obtained in the adding (5), at a temperature in a range of from 80 to 95° C., under stirring, to obtain a suspension;
- (7) drying the suspension obtained in the heat treating (6), to obtain a solid phase;
- and
- (8) calcining the solid phase obtained in the drying (7), to obtain the mixed oxide, and optionally further processing, to obtain the metal sulfide, wherein the mixed oxide is of formula (I):
- MeaNibMocWdAleOf·pC (I),
- wherein
- Me is Zn, Cd, Mn, or a mixture thereof,
- C comprises a polymer organic compound,
- a is 0 or higher,
- b, c, d, e and f are higher than 0,
- f is (2a+2b+6c+6d+3e)/2,
- (a+b)/(c+d) is in a range of from 0.9 to 1.1,
- a/b is in a range of from 0 to 1.5,
- the c/d is in a range of from 0.2 to 5,
- (a+b+c+d)/e is in a range of from 0.6 to 5, and
- p is a weight percentage of the polymer organic compound C and optionally a residue of the polymer organic compound C, with respect to a total weight of the mixed oxide of formula (I), p being in a range of from 0.2 to 40%,
- wherein the mixed oxide of formula (I) comprises an amorphous phase and a pseudo-crystalline phase isostructural to wolframite.
