Abstract
A method performed by a STA may comprise receiving a frame, from a first AP including an indication of a configuration change counter (CCC) associated with a second AP. The CCC may be an unsigned integer that increments when an update to one or more AP parameters of the second AP has occurred. The method may further comprise establishing a first wireless link with the first AP and establishing a master key via at least the first wireless link.

A station (STA) comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive a frame, from a first access point (AP), wherein the frame includes an indication of a change count specific to a second AP, wherein a value of the change count is an integer that increments responsive to at least one parameter of the second AP being updated;
- circuitry configured to establish a first wireless link with the first AP;
- and circuitry configured to establish a master key security association via at least the first wireless link.
A method performed by a station (STA), the method comprising:
- receiving a frame, from a first access point (AP), wherein the frame includes an indication of a change count specific to a second AP, wherein a value of the change count is an integer that increments responsive to at least one parameter of the second AP being updated;
- establishing a first wireless link with the first AP;
- and establishing a master key security association via at least the first wireless link.
A station (STA) comprising:
- a receiver configured to receive a frame, from a first access point (AP), wherein the frame includes an indication of a change count specific to a second AP which is different than the first AP, wherein a value of the change count is an unsigned integer that increments responsive to at least one parameter of the second AP being updated;
- circuitry configured to establish a first wireless link with the first AP;
- and circuitry configured to establish a master key security association via at least the first wireless link.
