Positioning measurements

A method comprising:

• receiving, at a plurality of antennae, a known reference signal associated with positioning;
• determining cross-correlation values comprising a cross correlation between the reference signal received at each antenna of the plurality of antennae and the known reference signal associated with the positioning;
• estimating a channel response for a reference antenna of the plurality of antennae using the cross correlation values, using the known reference signal, and using an antenna correlation comprising a known phase relationship between a channel response of each antenna of the plurality of antennae and the channel response of the reference antenna, the known phase on ship causing the channel response of each antenna to be a phase-rotated the channel response of the reference antenna;
• determining a time of arrival, an angle of arrival, or both the time of arrival and the angle of arrival of the received reference signal based on the estimated channel response for the reference antenna.

A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising program instructions stored thereon for performing a method, comprising:

• receiving, at a plurality of antennae, a known reference signal associated with positioning;
• determining cross-correlation values comprising a cross correlation between the reference signal received at each antenna of the plurality of antennae and the known reference signal associated with the positioning;
• estimating a channel response for a reference antenna of the plurality of antennae using the cross correlation values, using the known reference signal, and using an antenna correlation comprising a known phase relationship between a channel response of each antenna of the plurality of antennae and the channel response of the reference antenna, the known phase relationship causing the channel response of each antenna to be a phase-rotated version of the channel response of the reference antenna;
• and
• determining a time of arrival, an angle of arrival, or both the time of arrival and the angle of arrival of the received reference signal based on the estimated channel response for the reference antenna.
