Abstract
A magnetic track assembly including an elongate channel having an open side, an end wall, and two parallel side walls; a first magnet disposed within the elongate channel near an interior side of the end wall; a compartment defined within the elongate channel spaced from the first magnet; and a screen receiver disposed within the compartment and including a second magnet arranged facing the first magnet. In the magnetic track assembly, the first and second magnets are of opposite polarity and the screen receiver is loosely disposed within the compartment such that a magnetic bond is intact between the first and second magnets when the first and second magnets are close together and the magnetic bond is broken when the first and second magnets are pulled apart.

A retractable screen system comprising:
- an elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having walls defining a compartment;
- the elongate channel configured to receive a screen receiver within the compartment of the elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having a magnet channel;
- at least one magnet positioned within the magnet channel of the elongate channel;
- the screen receiver having a magnet channel;
- the screen receiver having a screen channel;
- wherein the magnet channel and the screen channel are positioned on opposite sides of the screen receiver;
- at least one magnet positioned within the magnet channel of the screen receiver;
- wherein the screen channel of the screen receiver receives a first side of a screen;
- wherein when the screen receiver is positioned within the compartment of the elongate channel,
- the elongate channel and the screen receiver are magnetically attracted to one another,
- wherein the magnet channel of the screen receiver has an open end facing away from the screen;
- wherein the screen channel has an open end facing toward the screen;
- wherein the magnet channel of the screen receiver is defined by:
- a center wall,
- a first pair of opposing sidewalls extending outward from the center wall, in a direction away from the screen, to outward ends;
- a pair of flanges extending inward toward each other from the outward ends of the first pair of sidewalls.
A retractable screen system comprising:
- an elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having walls defining a compartment;
- the elongate channel configured to receive a screen receiver within the compartment of the elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having a first magnet channel;
- the screen receiver having a second magnet channel;
- the screen receiver having a screen channel;
- wherein the second magnet channel and the screen channel are positioned on opposite sides of the screen receiver;
- at least one magnet positioned within one of the first magnet channel of the elongate channel or the second magnet channel of the screen receiver;
- wherein the screen channel of the screen receiver receives a first side of a screen;
- wherein when the screen receiver is positioned within the compartment of the elongate channel, the elongate channel and the screen receiver are magnetically attracted to one another;
- wherein the second magnet channel of the screen receiver is defined by:
- a center wall;
- a first pair of opposing sidewalls extending outward from the center wall in a direction away from the screen;
- wherein a portion of the screen receiver extends outward beyond the first pair of opposing sidewalls;
- wherein the portion of the screen receiver that extends beyond the first pair of opposing sidewalls is configured to engage a set of features within the elongate channel that limit the distance that the screen receiver can move in a direction toward the first magnet channel of the elongate channel.
A retractable screen system comprising:
- an elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having an end wall, a first pair of opposing sidewalls, an open side, and a compartment;
- the elongate channel configured to receive a screen receiver within the compartment of the elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having a first magnet channel;
- at least one magnet positioned within the first magnet channel of the elongate channel;
- the screen receiver having a screen channel;
- wherein the screen channel of the screen receiver receives a first side of a screen;
- wherein when the screen receiver is positioned within the compartment of the elongate channel,
- the elongate channel and the screen receiver are magnetically attracted to one another;
- wherein the first magnet channel of the elongate channel is defined by:
- the end wall;
- outward portions of the first pair of opposing sidewalls of the elongate channel;
- and
- a pair of flanges extending inward from the first pair of opposing sidewalls into the elongate channel,
- a set of features positioned within the elongate channel;
- wherein the set of features are configured to limit the distance that the screen receiver can move in a direction toward the first magnet channel of the elongate channel.
A retractable screen system comprising:
- an elongate channel;
- the elongate channel having an end wall, a first pair of opposing sidewalls, an open side, and a compartment;

- at least one magnet positioned within the magnet channel of the screen receiver;
- wherein the screen channel of the screen receiver receives a first side of a screen;
- wherein when the screen receiver is positioned within the compartment of the elongate channel, the elongate channel and the screen receiver are magnetically attracted to one another
- wherein the magnet channel of the screen receiver is defined by:
- a center wall;
- and
- a second pair of opposing sidewalls extending outward from the center wall in a direction away from the screen;
- wherein the screen receiver includes a pair of flanges that extend outward beyond the second pair of opposing sidewalls;
- wherein the pair of flanges are configured to engage a first set of features within the elongate channel so as to limit the distance that the screen receiver can move in a direction away from the screen;
- wherein the pair of flanges are configured to engage a second set of features within the elongate channel so as to limit the distance that the screen receiver can move in a direction toward the screen.
