Abstract
Detergent compositions and more specifically, to low pH detergent compositions comprising sulfated surfactants, organic acid, and polyamine compounds. Methods of making and using the same.
Claims12
A detergent composition comprising:
- from about 1% to about 50% of a sulfated surfactant selected from the group R′—O—(C2H4O)n—SO3M, ROSO3−M+, and mixtures thereof, wherein R′ and R are alkyl groups having 14 or more carbons, wherein n is from about 1 to 20, and wherein M is a salt-forming cation;
- an organic acid comprising citric acid;
- a fluorescent whitening agent;
- and
- from about 0.25% to about 10% of an alkalizing agent;
- wherein the composition has a pH of about 2 to about 3 when measured neat;
- wherein the composition is substantially free of sulfated surfactant according to R′—O—(C2H4O)n—SO3M and ROSO3−M+, wherein R′ and R are alkyl groups having fewer than 14 carbons;
- and
- wherein the composition is substantially free of peroxide bleach.
