Parking assist systems and methods

A method to provide vehicle parking assistance comprising:

• obtaining, by a processor, a request to park a vehicle in a parking space;
• obtaining, by the processor, a historical vehicle movement pattern responsive to obtaining the request, wherein the historical vehicle movement pattern is associated with the vehicle relative to a plurality of markers, disposed on the parking space, to park the vehicle in the parking space;
• obtaining, by the processor, real-time inputs from a detection unit responsive to obtaining the request, wherein the real-time inputs comprise real-time presence, position, and orientation of the plurality of markers with respect to the vehicle;
• and
• causing, by the processor, a vehicle movement to park the vehicle in the parking space based on the historical vehicle movement pattern and the real-time inputs.

A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having instructions stored thereupon which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:

• obtain a request to park a vehicle in a parking space;
• obtain a historical vehicle movement pattern responsive to obtaining the request, wherein the historical vehicle movement pattern is associated with the vehicle relative to a plurality of markers, disposed on the parking space, to park the vehicle in the parking space;
• obtain real-time inputs responsive to obtaining the request, wherein the real-time inputs comprise real-time presence, position, and orientation of the plurality of markers with respect to the vehicle;
• and
• cause a vehicle movement to park the vehicle in the parking space based on the historical vehicle movement pattern and the real-time inputs.
