Abstract
A damping control system for a vehicle having a suspension located between a plurality of ground engaging members and a vehicle frame includes at least one adjustable shock absorber having an adjustable damping profile.
Claims19
A recreational vehicle for operation by an operator, comprising:
- a plurality of ground engaging members;
- a frame supported by the plurality of ground engaging members;
- a plurality of adjustable suspension members, the plurality of adjustable suspension members including a first suspension, a second suspension, and a configurable stabilizer bar, the first suspension including a first adjustable shock absorber coupled between the frame and a first ground engaging member of the plurality of ground engaging members, the second suspension including a second adjustable shock absorber coupled between the frame and a second ground engaging member of the plurality of ground engaging members;
- a plurality of vehicle condition sensors supported by the plurality of ground engaging members;
- at least one controller operatively coupled to at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members, the at least one controller receiving a plurality of inputs from the plurality of vehicle condition sensors;
- and
- a user interface system supported by the frame, the user interface system including a display, the user interface providing a plurality of inputs to control at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members, and
- wherein the display is configurable with the at least one controller to display a screen layout, the screen layout including at least one reactive graphical representation of a suspension characteristic of the at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members.

- and
- a user interface system supported by the frame, the user interface system including a display, the user interface providing a plurality of inputs to control at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members, the plurality of inputs includes at least one user selectable input, and in response to the at least one user selectable input receiving a first input, operating a first one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members according to a first mode and in response to the at least one user selectable input receiving a second input, operating the first one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members according to a second mode, the second mode being an active mode different than the first mode, and
- wherein the display is configurable with the at least one controller to display a screen layout, the screen layout including a graphical representation of the at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members operating in the active mode, a graphical representation of the vehicle, the first adjustable shock absorber being positioned on a first side of a vertical longitudinal vehicle centerline plane and the second adjustable shock absorber being positioned on a second side of the vertical longitudinal vehicle centerline plane, the second side being opposite the first side, and a third adjustable shock absorber being positioned on one of the first side and the second side of the vertical longitudinal vehicle centerline plane, and the screen layout further including at least one numerical indication of at least one suspension characteristic of the at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members, wherein a first numerical indication of the at least one of the plurality of adjustable suspension members is positioned adjacent the graphical representation of the vehicle.
