Movable/replaceable high intensity target and multiple accelerator systems and methods

A radiation system comprising:

• a first patient station, wherein the first patient station includes a first plurality of accelerator systems, wherein the first plurality of accelerator systems are configured to provide simultaneous multiple radiation beams from the first plurality of accelerator systems;
• a second patient station, wherein the second patient station includes a second plurality of accelerator systems, wherein the second plurality of accelerator systems are configured to provide simultaneous multiple radiation beams from the second plurality of accelerator systems;
• and
• a microwave generation system configured to provide microwave signals to the first plurality of accelerator systems and the second plurality of accelerator systems, the microwave generation system including a plurality of radio frequency (RF) chains, each RF chain including an RF source of a plurality of RF sources, each RF source of the plurality of RF sources being configured to generate microwave signals and each accelerator system of the first plurality of accelerator systems and the second plurality of accelerator systems being operated independently by a respective RF chain of the plurality of RF chains.

A radiation system comprising:

• a first patient station, wherein the first patient station includes a first accelerator system, wherein the first accelerator system is configured to provide radiation beams;
• a second patient station, wherein the second patient station includes a second accelerator system, wherein the second accelerator system is configured to provide radiation beams;
• a radio frequency (RF) source configured to generate microwave signals for the first accelerator system and the second accelerator system;
• a modulator configured to modulate generation of the microwave signals by the RF source;
• and
• a plurality of RF chains, each RF chain of the plurality of RF chains including a waveguide, each of the first accelerator system and the second accelerator system configured to receive microwave signals from the RF source via the waveguide of an individual RF chain of the plurality of RF chains.
