Abstract
An infusion control test system includes a patient bio-simulator configured to generate first simulated biophysical data; an infusion control system configured to determine a first infusion profile in response to the first simulated biophysical data; and an infusion pump simulator configured to simulate a first administration of medication according to the first infusion profile. The patient bio-simulator is further configured to: simulate a patient response to the simulated first administration of medication; and generate second simulated biophysical data by adjusting the first simulated biophysical data according to the patient response.
Claims20
An infusion control test system comprising:
- a patient bio-simulator configured to generate first simulated biophysical data based on a plurality of different algorithms provided by each of a plurality of different patient simulation models that model patient responses, wherein each of the algorithms results from machine learning used with existing clinical files;
- an infusion control system configured to determine a first infusion profile in response to the first simulated biophysical data;
- and
- an infusion pump simulator configured to simulate a first administration of medication according to the first infusion profile;
- wherein the patient bio-simulator is further configured to:
- simulate a patient response to the simulated first administration of medication based on the plurality of different algorithms provided by each of a plurality of different patient simulation models;
- and
- generate second simulated biophysical data by adjusting the first simulated biophysical data according to the patient response.
A computer-implemented method for operating an infusion control test system, the method comprising:
- causing a patient bio-simulator to generate first simulated biophysical data based on a plurality of different algorithms provided by each of a plurality of different patient simulation models that model patient responses, wherein each of the algorithms results from machine learning used with existing clinical files;
- causing an infusion control system to determine a first infusion profile in response to the first simulated biophysical data;
- causing an infusion pump simulator to simulate a first administration of medication according to the first infusion profile;
- and
- causing the patient bio-simulator to:
- simulate a patient response to the simulated first administration of medication based on the plurality of different algorithms provided by each of a plurality of different patient simulation models;
- and
- generate second simulated biophysical data by adjusting the first simulated biophysical data according to the patient response.
