Abstract
A thrust reverser includes a jack for translational actuation of a movable part, the jack being a screw jack without an extension tube.
Claims13
A thrust reverser for an aircraft propulsion unit, comprising:
- a fixed portion;
- a movable portion;
- and
- at least one actuator, wherein
- the actuator comprises a first member and a second member which cooperate with each other so as to be able to be displaced relative to each other between a first position and a second position defining a stroke of the actuator,
- one of the first member and the second member is connected to the fixed portion of the thrust reverser by a first connecting element, wherein the first connecting element connects to a screw of the actuator,
- the other of the first member and the second member is connected to the movable portion of the thrust reverser by a second connecting element,
- the thrust reverser is configured such that a displacement of the first member and the second member relative to each other between the first position and the second position causes a translational displacement of the movable portion relative to the fixed portion respectively between a direct thrust position and a thrust reversal position, and
- when the first member and the second member are displaced relative to each other in the first position, a distance between the first connecting element and the second connecting element is less than the stroke of the actuator.
