Abstract
A method of maintaining a belt of a continuous press configured to compress a mat comprising plastic elements includes applying a cleaning tool to the belt to remove plastic residue from the one or more plastic elements that has adhered to the belt and combusting the residue that accumulates on the cleaning tool.
Claims18
A belt cleaning system for a continuous composite board manufacturing press, the system comprising:
- a cleaning tool configured to remove material from a belt;
- and
- a burner configured to apply a flame to the cleaning tool to combust accumulated thermoplastic material on the cleaning tool.
A method of maintaining a belt of a continuous press configured to compress a mat comprising thermoplastic elements, the method comprising:
- applying a cleaning tool to the belt to remove thermoplastic residue from one or more thermoplastic elements that have adhered to the belt;
- and
- applying a flame to the cleaning tool to combust the thermoplastic residue that accumulates on the cleaning tool.
