Method of manufacturing an outer shell of a dispenser part

A method of manufacturing an outer shell of a dispenser part, the method comprising:

• performing a first injection moulding step to produce a first component part of the outer shell in a mould, wherein the first component part comprises an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the first component part has a first mating surface directed to the outer surface of the first component part, the first mating surface including at least one step extending between the outer surface and the inner surface of the first component part;
• performing a second injection moulding step to produce a second component part in the mould, wherein the second component part comprises an outer surface and an inner surface, wherein the second component part has a second mating surface directed to an inner surface of the second component part, wherein the first component part and the second component part are joined to each other along a seam by mating the first mating surface and the second mating surface during the second injection moulding step;
• and
• retaining the first component part in the mould and engaging a plurality of protrusions provided on a surface of the mould via a plurality of recesses formed in the first component part during the second injection moulding step, the plurality of recesses being formed at the inner surface of the first component part along at least a part of an inner end of the first mating surface of the first component part and/or on a gate protrusion extending away from a free end of the first mating surface of the first component part;
• and
• wherein the plurality of protrusions are provided with an undercut.
