Abstract
A method of monitoring a radiation dose includes impinging an electrode with radiation and measuring a current through the electrode. Emission of secondary electrons emitted from the electrode provides a majority of the current.
Claims20
A method of monitoring a radiation dose, the method comprising:
- impinging an electrode with radiation;
- and
- measuring a current through said electrode, wherein
- emission of secondary electrons emitted from said electrode provides a majority of said current.
1 more element
A method of monitoring a radiation dose, the method comprising:
- coupling an electrode of a scattering/measuring electrode to a voltage measuring circuit;
- impinging said electrode by radiation;
- and
- measuring a voltage across a resistor corresponding to a radiation dose rate, wherein
- said method is operable in a first mode or a second mode, wherein said first mode corresponds to a radiation dose rate characteristic of FLASH radiotherapy, and
- said second mode corresponds to a radiation dose rate of less than 40 Gy/s.
3 more elements
A method of controlling a radiation dose in a radiation system, the method comprising:
- coupling a first electrode of a scattering-measuring electrode to a current measuring circuit;
- exposing the first electrode to radiation;
- measuring a current through the first electrode due to secondary electron emission from the first electrode to indicate a dose rate of the radiation;
- and
- controlling said radiation system to achieve a desired dose rate.
