Abstract
An agricultural harvester includes: a chassis; and a threshing and separating system coupled with the chassis, the threshing and separating system including a rotor including at least one brush device including a plurality of fingers which are flexible, the plurality of fingers being configured for engaging a crop material.
Claims15
A threshing and separating system of an agricultural harvester coupled with a chassis of the agricultural harvester, the threshing and separating system comprising:
- a rotor including (i) at least one brush device including a plurality of fingers which are flexible, the plurality of fingers being configured for engaging a crop material, and (ii) at least one rasp bar for threshing crop material,
- wherein the rotor is an axial rotor that includes a threshing section and a separating section positioned downstream of the threshing section, the threshing section including the at least one rasp bar extending radially from an outer perimeter of the threshing section, and the separating section including the at least one brush device extending radially from an outer perimeter of the separating section.
An agricultural harvester, comprising:
- a chassis;
- and
- a threshing and separating system coupled with the chassis, the threshing and separating system including a rotor including (i) at least one brush device including a plurality of fingers which are flexible, the plurality of fingers being configured for engaging a crop material, and (ii) at least one rasp bar for threshing crop material,
- wherein the rotor is an axial rotor that includes a threshing section and a separating section positioned downstream of the threshing section, the threshing section including the at least one rasp bar extending radially from an outer perimeter of the threshing section, and the separating section including the at least one brush device extending radially from an outer perimeter of the separating section.
A method of using an agricultural harvester, the method comprising the steps of:
- providing that agricultural harvester includes:
- a chassis;
- and
- a threshing and separating system coupled with the chassis, the threshing and separating system including a rotor including (i) at least one brush device including a plurality of fingers which are flexible, and (ii) at least one rasp bar for threshing crop material, wherein the rotor is an axial rotor that includes a threshing section and a separating section positioned downstream of the threshing section, the threshing section including the at least one rasp bar extending radially from an outer perimeter of the threshing section, and the separating section including the at least one brush device extending radially from an outer perimeter of the separating section;
- and
- engaging a crop material by the plurality of fingers.
