Abstract
A driven ring assembly for a ring-spinning or ring-twisting machine includes a ring and an electric drive having a stator and a rotor with a magnet. A ring crown is on the ring and a ring traveler is on the ring crown. A connecting portion is between the ring and the rotor. The electric drive includes coil winding strands in the stator that generate a torque and radial forces. An axial degree of freedom and tilting degrees of freedom of the rotor are passively stabilized by reluctance forces and radial degrees of freedom of the rotor are actively stabilized by a control loop controlling current through the coil winding strands.
Claims15
A driven ring assembly for a ring-spinning or ring-twisting machine, comprising:
- a ring;
- an electric drive comprising a stator and a rotor, the rotor comprising a magnet;
- a ring crown on the ring, and a ring traveler in contact with the ring crown;
- a connecting portion between the ring and the rotor;
- the electric drive further comprising coil winding strands in the stator that generate a torque and radial forces;
- and
- the electric dive configured such that an axial degree of freedom and tilting degrees of freedom of the rotor are passively stabilized by reluctance forces and radial degrees of freedom of the rotor are actively stabilized by control of current through the coil winding strands.
