Abstract
A polystyrene-based chalcone including units of a 1-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-(2E)-propane-1-one and units of a 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate. The units of the 1-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-(2E)-propane-1-one and the units of the 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate are in a matrix of a polystyrene. A process for preparing the polystyrene-based chalcone and application as a laser medium with fine coating characteristics.
Claims19
An acrylate chalcone polystyrene composite, comprising:
- units of a 1-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-(2E)-propane-1-one;
- and
- units of a 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate,
- wherein the units of the 1-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-(2E)-propane-1-one and the units of the 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate are in a matrix of a polystyrene, and
- wherein a molar ratio of the units of the 1-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-3-[4-(dimethylamino)phenyl]-(2E)-propane-1-one and the units of the 2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate is from 1:510 to 1:590.
