Abstract
A medical system may include an insertion device including a delivery shaft with at least one lumen, a tube coupled to an exterior of the delivery shaft, and an adaptor coupling a distal end of the delivery shaft to a distal end of the tube. One of the delivery shaft and the tube may be configured to receive an energy delivery device, and the other of the delivery shaft and the tube may be configured to be coupled to a suction source to apply suction.
Claims18
An adapter for a medical system, comprising:
- a first coupling lumen, the first coupling lumen sized to receive a distal end of a tube of a medical system, the tube comprising at least one lumen;
- and
- a second coupling lumen, the second coupling lumen sized to receive a distal end of a delivery shaft of the medical system, the delivery shaft comprising at least one lumen,
- wherein the first coupling lumen and the second coupling lumen are sized to couple to the distal end of the delivery shaft and the distal end of the tube and retain the distal end of the delivery shaft and the distal end of the tube a distance away from the distal end of the adapter, and
- wherein the first coupling lumen is coupled to the second coupling lumen via an aperture.
