Abstract
A pulsation damper for a condensate pump including a body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, an inner wall portion and an outer wall portion, wherein the inner and outer wall portions define an inner fluid region and an outer fluid region, wherein the inner fluid region is in fluid communication with the outer fluid region, wherein a fluid flow path is formed from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet via the inner fluid region, wherein the outer fluid region is in fluid communication with an air inlet and configured to maintain an air pocket, and wherein the air pocket is configured to dissipate pulsations within liquid entering the fluid inlet prior to being discharged from the fluid outlet.
Claims19
A pulsation damper for a condensate pump comprising:
- a body having a fluid inlet, a fluid outlet, and inner and outer wall portions, wherein the inner and outer wall portions define an inner fluid region and an outer fluid region, wherein the outer fluid region is sub-divided into outer fluid volumes by wall connecting members that extend between the inner and outer wall portions, wherein the inner fluid region is in fluid communication with the outer fluid region, wherein a fluid flow path is formed from the fluid inlet to the fluid outlet via the inner fluid region, wherein the outer fluid region is in fluid communication with an air inlet and configured to maintain an air pocket, and wherein the air pocket is configured to dissipate pulsations within liquid entering the fluid inlet prior to liquid being discharged from the fluid outlet.
