Aggregate spreading device with spreader system

A method of spreading aggregate, comprising:

• attaching an aggregate spreading device to a host machine, the aggregate spreading device comprising a support frame having a first end and a second end, a hopper disposed on the first end of the support frame, a conveyor system disposed below the hopper, and a spreader system;
• actuating the spreader system from a storage position to a deployed position;
• adjusting a vertical position and a slope of the spreader system relative to a grade line;
• pushing the aggregate spreading device using the host machine;
• loading aggregate into the hopper of the aggregate spreading device;
• directing the aggregate onto the conveyor system;
• conveying the aggregate through an exit opening in a sidewall of the hopper to the spreader system;
• and
• distributing the aggregate using the spreader system;
• wherein the spreader system is actuated from the storage position to the deployed position using a position actuator coupled to the spreader system and to the support frame at a location between the first end and the second end;
• and
• wherein the vertical position of the spreader system is adjusted using a lift actuator comprising a vertical support coupled to the spreader system and to the support frame at a distal end of the hopper.
