Clothing treatment apparatus

A clothing treatment apparatus comprising:

• a cabinet;
• a tub disposed inside the cabinet to provide a space in which water is stored;
• a drum rotatably provided inside the tub;
• and
• a pump comprising:
• a supply port connected to the tub;
• a discharge port connected to an outside of the cabinet;
• and
• a housing including:
• a first chamber located in the housing, the first chamber being in communication with the supply port;
• a second chamber located in the housing, the second chamber being in communication with the discharge port;
• a first partition separating the first chamber and the second chamber;
• a chamber communicating hole located in the first partition, the first chamber being in communication with the second chamber via the chamber communicating hole;
• an impeller rotatably provided in the second chamber;
• and
• a second partition located in the first chamber, the second partition extending downward from a first surface of the housing, the first surface defining an upper boundary of the first chamber,
• wherein the second partition extends from the first surface of the housing to an edge of the chamber communicating hole.
