Abstract

A smoker configured to infuse smoke into flavor and/or taste of a beverage or food includes a body member having a through bore extending from a first end of the body member to an opposite second end of the body member in a first direction and an insert configured to be received in the through bore at the first end and retained by the through bore at a position between the first end and the second end. The through bore and the insert are configured to define a chamber for receiving a combustible material between the insert and the first end, the through bore is configured to permit a flow of smoke from the combustible material out the through bore at the second end of the body member, and the second end of the body member is configured to rest on a rim of a container to block the flow of air from the container where a surface of the second end of the body member contacts the rim.

Dependent claims

A smoker for infusing smoke into flavor or taste of a beverage or food, the smoker comprising:

a body member having a through bore extending from a first end of the body member to an opposite second end of the body member in a first direction;
and
wherein the through bore has opposing open ends along a longitudinal axis,
wherein the through bore is configured to receive an insert via the first end and retain the insert between the first end and the second end,
wherein the through bore is configured to cooperate with the insert are configured to define a chamber for receiving a combustible material between the insert and the first end,
wherein the through bore is configured to permit a flow of smoke from the combustible material out the through bore at the second end of the body member, and
wherein the second end of the body member is configured to rest on a surface of a container to block the flow of air from the container where a surface of the second end of the body member contacts the surface of the container.

a body member having a first bore extending from an end of a first portion of the body member to an opposite second portion of the body member in a first direction and a second bore extending from an end of the second portion to the first portion in the first direction;

wherein the first bore is configured to retain the insert at a position between an end of the first portion and the second portion,
wherein the first bore and the insert are configured to define a chamber for receiving a combustible material between the insert and the end of the first portion,
wherein the first bore is configured to permit a flow of smoke from the combustible material out of the bore of the body member,
wherein the second portion of the body member is configured to rest against a container such that the flow of smoke from the first bore is permitted to enter the container,
wherein the second portion of the body is configured to rest against the container so as to block a flow of air from the container where a surface of the second end portion of the body member contacts the container, and
wherein the second bore is configured to permit the flow of air from the container to an exterior of the container.
