Abstract
An exercise device comprising a bendable pole with spring-like properties. The bendable pole has grips at opposing ends and in a midsection. The exercise device is configured to be used for a variety of exercise methods. The exercise device provides personal fitness tracking in conjunction with a mobile software application.
Claims16
An exercise device comprising:
- a bendable pole having a resilient mechanism having a plurality of flexible rods contained within the bendable pole;
- a first end grip disposed on a first end of the pole;
- a second end grip disposed on a second end of the pole;
- a middle grip disposed in a mid-section of the pole;
- and
- a core having asymmetrical major axis and minor axis diameters within the bendable pole,
- wherein the plurality of rods are slideable against one another within the core to accommodate relative movement of the rods when the pole is bent.
4 more elements
A non-transitory computer readable medium including software instructions for performing a method comprising:
- receiving a signal from a sensor for translating mechanical forces generated by bending a pole of an exercise device into a variable voltage that represents an amount of work effort exerted by a user to bend the exercise device, wherein the variable voltage generates a proportional signal;
- converting the signal to the bending force equivalent;
- and
- displaying or storing the bending force equivalent.

An exercise device comprising:
- a bendable pole having a resilient mechanism;
- a first end grip disposed on a first end of the pole;
- a second end grip disposed on a second end of the pole;
- a middle grip disposed in a mid-section of the pole;
- one or more of the first end grip, the second end grip, the middle grip and the bendable pole having a hollow interior section with electronics disposed therein;
- and
- an electronic addition coordinated with a downloadable mobile software application having a sensor for translating mechanical forces generated by bending the bendable pole into a variable voltage that represents an amount of work effort exerted by a user to bend the bendable pole, the variable voltage generating a proportional signal.
