Abstract
The present invention relates to compositions comprising dried chicory root and pea cell wall fibers for reducing, preventing and/or treating dysentery in animals, poultry and humans. The invention also relates to the use of said compositions in feed and food.
Claims16
A method for treating infections with pathogenic Brachyspira ssp. in animals and poultry, comprising administering a composition comprising dried chicory root and pea cell wall fibers, wherein the weight ratio of said dried chicory root to said pea cell wall fiber is between 1/2 and 2/1, wherein said composition is administered in an amount of between 0.1 to 10% by weight of the total dry matter feed of the animal or poultry in need thereof.
