Abstract
A shoe or apparel, including a first material layer with a first plurality of protrusions, a flexible layer with a plurality of apertures, and a second material layer. The flexible layer is positioned between the first material layer and the second material layer. Each protrusion of the first plurality of protrusions of the first material layer extends through at least one aperture of the plurality of apertures of the flexible layer and is connected to the second material layer. The flexible layer is not connected to the first material layer and the second material layer, and thereby can freely move between the first material layer and the second material layer.
Claims20
A method of manufacturing a shoe, the method comprising:
- manufacturing a first material layer with a first plurality of protrusions;
- manufacturing a flexible layer with a plurality of apertures;
- positioning the flexible layer onto the first material layer, such that each protrusion of the first plurality of protrusions of the first material layer extends through at least one aperture of the plurality of apertures of the flexible layer;
- and
- manufacturing a second material layer such that the second material layer is connected to a protrusion of the first plurality of protrusions of the first material layer and the second material layer is integrally formed with the first material layer,
- wherein the flexible layer is configured to move between the first material layer and the second material layer.
A method of manufacturing a shoe, the method comprising:
- manufacturing a midsole comprising a first material layer with a plurality of protrusions;
- manufacturing a shoe upper comprising a flexible layer with a plurality of apertures;
- positioning the shoe upper onto the midsole, such that at least one protrusion of the plurality of protrusions of the midsole extends through an aperture of the plurality of apertures of the shoe upper;
- and
- manufacturing a shoe insole comprising a second material layer such that the second material layer is connected to at least one protrusion of the plurality of protrusions and the second material layer is integrally formed with the first material layer,
- wherein the shoe upper is configured to move between the midsole and the shoe insole.
A method of manufacturing a shoe, the method comprising:
- manufacturing a midsole comprising a first material layer with a plurality of protrusions;
- manufacturing a shoe upper comprising a flexible layer with a plurality of apertures;
- positioning the shoe upper onto the midsole, such that at least one protrusion of the plurality of protrusions of the midsole extends through an aperture of the plurality of apertures of the shoe upper;
- manufacturing a shoe insole comprising a second material layer by printing the second material layer of the shoe insole onto the plurality of protrusions of the first material layer of the midsole by additive manufacturing;
- and
- connecting, after positioning the shoe upper onto the midsole, the at least one protrusion of the first plurality of protrusions to the shoe insole, wherein the shoe upper is configured to move between the midsole and the shoe insole when the midsole and the shoe insole are connected.
