Abstract
Compounds and methods of treating HIV-1 in a human infected with HIV-1 or preventing HIV-1 infection in a human susceptible to infection with HIV-1 are provided. The compounds are of formula (I), (II), and (IA), wherein R1-R7, X, X′, Y, Y′, Z, and n are defined herein, and the methods comprises administering therapeutically effective amounts of these compounds to the human.
Claims14
A method of treating HIV-1 in a human infected with HIV-1 or preventing HIV-1 infection in a human susceptible to infection with HIV-1 comprising administering to the human a therapeutically effective amount of a compound of formula (I):
- wherein:
- n is 1;
- X is —CH2—;
- Y is —N(C(O)OC1-6alk)-, —N(SO2R9)—, —N(C(O)R8)—, —N(C(O)NR9R10)—, or —N(C(═NH)NR9R10)—;
- Z is C(O)NH—;
- R1 is H;
- R2 is H;
- (i) R3 is H, halogen, C1-6alkyl, —OC1-6alkyl, or C1-6haloalkyl;
- and R4 is halogen;
- or (ii) R3 is halo or C1-6haloalkyl;
- and R4 is H;
- R5 is H, halogen, C1-6alkyl, —OC1-6alkyl, or C1-6haloalkyl;
- R6 and R7 are each H or NH2;
- R8 is —OC1-6alkyl, —O—C1-6alk-NH2, —NH(C1-6alkyl), —N(C1-6alkyl)(C1-6alkyl), —NH—C1-6alk-NH2, phenyl, or heteroaryl;
- and
- R9 and R10 are, independently, H, C1-6alkyl, —C(O)OC1-6alkyl, halogenated C1-6alkyl, C3-8cycloalkyl, aryl, or heteroaryl;
- wherein R8, R9, and R10 are, independently, optionally substituted by halo, CN, OC1-6alkyl, —NHC(O)(C1-6alkyl), or unsubstituted C1-6alkyl;
- or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof.
