Abstract
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building includes: a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having first members that extend along a first direction; second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction; and a protrusion extending from the barrier member. The protrusion has a first extension that comprises a first end, and a second extension that comprises a second end.
Claims22
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building, the gutter guard comprising:
- a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion has, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the barrier member,
- a first extension that comprises a first end, and
- a second extension that comprises a second end,
- wherein the first extension extends in a third direction, and the second extension extends in a fourth direction, and
- wherein the third direction is parallel to the first direction.
A gutter guard for filtering water that enters a rain gutter on a building, the gutter guard comprising:
- a barrier member configured to be positioned above a lowest portion of the rain gutter and having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion has, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the barrier member,
- a first extension that comprises a first end, and
- a second extension that comprises a second end, and
- wherein the protrusion comprises a linear joining section that connects the first extension to the second extension.
A filtration device, comprising:
- a barrier member having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein the protrusion has, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the barrier member,
- a first extension that comprises a first end, and
- a second extension that comprises a second end, and
- wherein the protrusion comprises a linear joining section that connects the first extension to the second extension.
A filtration device, comprising:
- a barrier member having a plurality of openings that are penetrable by water, the barrier member having
- first members that extend along a first direction;
- second members that extend along a second direction that is non-parallel to the first direction;
- and
- a protrusion extending from the barrier member,
- wherein
- the extension comprises, when viewed in a direction perpendicular to a plane of the barrier member, a first extension having a first end and a second extension having a second end,
- wherein the first extension extends in a third direction, and the second extension extends in a fourth direction, and
- wherein the third direction is parallel to the first direction.
