Abstract
A method for filtering a non aqueous liquid such as a biodiesel to reduce the levels of sterol glucosides and/or saturated monoglycerides.
Claims17
A method for filtering a non aqueous liquid, the method comprising:
- providing a non aqueous liquid;
- and
- filtering the non aqueous liquid through a filter aid material,
- wherein the filter aid material has a dispersive surface energy (γd 0.08) of greater than about 32 and a ratio of basic surface energy:
- acidic surface energy (γ−/γ+) of greater than 1.
