Abstract
A safety razor removes hair from skin using the cutting blade comprising a sharp edge along an elongated side of a planar surface. An outer comb has a row of outer teeth running along the planar surface on an outside of the cutting blade, each outer tooth is substantially perpendicular to the sharp edge and spaced with a gap between the row of the outer teeth and the planar surface of the cutting blade. Ends of the row of outer teeth comprise outer teeth tips. An inner guard runs along the planar surface on an inside of the cutting blade.
Claims18
A safety razor for hair removal from skin, comprising:
- a first cutting blade having an inner planar surface and an outer planar surface and comprising a sharp edge;
- a first outer comb comprising a row of outer teeth extending alongside the outer planar surface of the first cutting blade, wherein the first outer comb comprises a leading opening spaced between an inside edge of the row of the outer teeth and the sharp edge of the first cutting blade;
- a first inner guard comprising an inner guard edge extending alongside the inner planar surface of the first cutting blade, wherein a trailing opening is formed between the sharp edge of the first cutting blade spaced from the inner guard edge of the first inner guard;
- and
- a shaver handle coupled with the first cutting blade, the first outer comb, and the first inner guard and having a longitudinal axis always substantially perpendicular to the sharp edge of the first cutting blade, wherein the first outer comb is between the shaver handle and the first cutting blade;
- and
- wherein the first cutting blade is held in a position between the first outer comb and the first inner guard.
