Abstract
A surgical tray efficiency system comprising a vertical rack assembly for holding and displaying a plurality of surgical instrument trays, a sterile barrier covering the vertical rack assembly and including tray location identifiers, and a standardization software platform including a customizable interactive planogram is described. The customizable interactive planogram software helps operating room staff arrange the instrument trays on the vertical rack assembly according to a predetermined customizable location ID, and create/load/access information related to the surgical procedure/trays/instruments before, during, and after the surgery.
Claims40
A computer-implemented method for increasing efficiency during surgical procedures, comprising:
- presenting, by a computing system, a user interface that presents multiple interface elements that correspond to multiple respective stages of a particular surgical procedure, with the multiple interface elements including:
- (i) a first stage interface element that corresponds to a first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- and
- (ii) a second stage interface element that corresponds to second stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- receiving, by the computing system, user input that selects the first stage interface element that corresponds to the first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- presenting, by the computing system responsive to having received the user input that selects the first stage interface element, a first stage screen that visually identifies each surgical instrument in a first collection of surgical instruments that are assigned to the first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- receiving, by the computing system, user input that selects the second stage interface element that corresponds to the second stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- and
- presenting, by the computing system responsive to having received the user input that selects the second stage interface element, a second stage screen that visually identifies each surgical instrument in a second collection of surgical instruments that are assigned to the second stage of the particular surgical procedure.
A computing system, comprising one or more processors and computer-readable storage including instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing system to perform operations that include:
- presenting, by the computing system, a user interface that presents multiple interface elements that correspond to multiple respective stages of a particular surgical procedure, with the multiple interface elements including:
- (i) a first stage interface element that corresponds to a first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- and
- (ii) a second stage interface element that corresponds to second stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- receiving, by the computing system, user input that selects the first stage interface element that corresponds to the first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- presenting, by the computing system responsive to having received the user input that selects the first stage interface element, a first stage screen that visually identifies each surgical instrument in a first collection of surgical instruments that are assigned to the first stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- receiving, by the computing system, user input that selects the second stage interface element that corresponds to the second stage of the particular surgical procedure;
- and
- presenting, by the computing system responsive to having received the user input that selects the second stage interface element, a second stage screen that visually identifies each surgical instrument in a second collection of surgical instruments that are assigned to the second stage of the particular surgical procedure.
