Abstract
Aspects of the present disclosure provide fluoropolymers and methods for forming and using such fluoropolymers. Fluoropolymers include polyfluorobenzoxazines and polyfluoroimides. Methods for forming polyphthalonitriles are also provided. The present disclosure is further directed to compositions containing one or more fluoropolymers and one or more metal oxides.
Claims20
A composition comprising:
- a metal oxide selected from the group consisting of FeO, Fe2O3, Fe3O4 or a mixture thereof;
- and
- a compound represented by Formula (III):
- wherein:
- Z is fluorinated aryl group;
- each instance of R1, R2, R1′, R2″, R1″, R2″, R1′″, and R2′″ is independently hydrogen, unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl, or substituted C1-C10 alkyl;
- each instance of R3, R4, R5, R3′, R4′, and R3′ is independently hydrogen, unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl, or substituted C1-C10 alkyl;
- each instance of Q1 and Q2 is independently oxygen or sulfur;
- Q3 and Q3′ are independently hydrogen, amino, imido, unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl, or substituted C1-C10 alkyl;
- each instance of n is an integer from 1 to 20;
- and
- m is an integer from 1 to 15.

- a compound represented by Formula (VI):
- wherein:
- Z is fluorinated aryl group;
- each instance of Q1 and Q2 is hydrogen, amino, imido, unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl, or substituted C1-C10 alkyl;
- each instance of R1 and R2 is independently hydrogen, unsubstituted C1-C10 alkyl, or substituted C1-C10 alkyl;
- each instance of n is an integer from 1 to 20;
- and
- m is an integer from 1 to 15.
